THE AGE OF MIRACLES

I was brought up in the environment where I was told that the time of God’s miracles was past. Of course if you are told by your preacher that the age of miracles is past, even though you need a miracle from God, you find yourself thinking, “Well then, I won’t pray for that because I don’t want to embarrass God or myself because He’s past the age of miracles.”

The age of miracles ended? Really? The time your car spun out of control and you missed on-coming traffic by a hair’s breadth! The time you were critically sick and given up for dead, but you were healed and the doctors could not explain it. And the time that God took hold of dirty sinners like you and me, and with the blood of Jesus cleaned us up and forgave us! If these are not miracles, then I don’t know what a miracle is.

So you need a miracle! Who doesn’t? God has powerful good news for us!

Luke 18:27,

The things impossible with men are possible with God.

WHILE MAN PERFORMS THE POSSIBLE, GOD PERFORMS THE IMPOSSIBLE. WHILE

MAN IS CHARACTERIZED BY NATURAL ACTS, GOD IS CHARACTERIZED BY

SUPERNATURAL ACTS. MIRACLES ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD, NOT WERE.

GOD STILL HEALS BODIES AND MINDS, LIVES AND MARRIAGES.

MIRACLES ARE WHAT HE DOES BEST. ALL IN HIS WISDOM,

AND ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD.
